25 Jun HIRING: Full-Time Culinary-Focused Nanny
in Los Angeles, California
Riveter Consulting Group is seeking a highly intelligent, career-driven Culinary Nanny to join an active, health-conscious household. This position presents a unique opportunity for an estate professional who thrives in an intimate household setting and embraces a lifestyle dedicated to holistic well-being and extensive travel. For this family, exceptional cooking ability is paramount and prioritized over academic capabilities, as a dedicated homeschooling team is already in place. The ideal candidate is a patient, energetic professional—potentially an experienced private chef/cook or a culinary graduate—who values firm boundaries and is excited to fully dedicate themselves to growing alongside a family for the next 2+ years.
The Environment
The household is grounded, relatively introverted, and deeply committed to a holistic, active lifestyle. The parents value hard work, authentic connections, and emotional intelligence. The family seeks a calm, observant professional who is highly adept at reading the room, respects parental authority, and maintains excellent boundaries without imposing personal philosophies.
Schedule
TBD, Flexibility is required from Thursday to Sunday, including occasional overnight weekend shifts when local
Locations
Based primarily in the Beverly Glen / Sherman Oaks area of Los Angeles, CA. The family travels frequently for months at a time, during which a custom contract will be enacted to cover travel periods
Housing
This is a live-out role while local to Los Angeles, transitioning to a live-in arrangement during travel
Responsibilities:
- Assist with culinary operations, with a strong emphasis on preparing strictly organic, non-processed, and entirely sugar-free meals
- Provide attentive, developmentally focused care for two children (ages 8 and 9) who are homeschooled
- Support the homeschooling team by supervising online learning/laptop work, managing homework schedules, and leading daily active enrichment
- Plan and actively engage in physical activities, swimming, and outdoor play; a passive approach to childcare will not suit this dynamic
- Establish clear guidelines, routines, and age-appropriate discipline, confidently maintaining structure and boundaries for the children
- Assist with light housekeeping tasks, including dishes, culinary clean-up, tidying up after activities, and maintaining organization (a full-time Housekeeper is employed but is off Saturday/Sunday)
- Assist with daily pet care for three small dogs, including feeding and walking as needed
- Support the family during extensive domestic and international travel, remaining with them for months at a time
Qualifications:
- A strong culinary background is essential, including formal culinary training or experience as a private Chef/Cook
- A profound, genuine alignment with a strict, non-processed, sugar-free nutritional lifestyle
- Patient, energetic, and authentic with a calm, grounded demeanor and a true love for working with children
- Highly intelligent and emotionally mature, with a natural ability to read the room and respect parental authority without imposing personal parenting philosophies
- Physically fit and active, with the ability to easily keep up with swimming and high-energy outdoor play
- The family values a strong work ethic and is open to a candidate who is “greener” to estate childcare but brings elite culinary skills and an eagerness to learn and adapt
- Patient and understanding, with the emotional depth required to naturally build trust with children navigating a new transition
- Comfortable working in a home with small dogs
